1 Sept 05 - 03 An explanation of how the Council identifies owners of vandalised properties - there is a perception that this takes too long. Gary Stevenson, TWBC Environment

At present, a number of the Council's services can be involved in dealing with this type of property.  As part of the Street Scene pilot project in the Town Centre, a more coordinated approach is being considered.  The Council has powers to seek details of the owner of a property and can carry out a Land Registry search.
response - 06.10.05
1 Sept 05 - 02 A single contact point be agreed for comments on licensing applications: there are too many options at the moment making it difficult for an enquirer to get a quick and consistent sense as to the level of support or objection there has been to an application and the associated strength of feeling. Gary Stevenson, TWBC Environment

Representations to premises licence applications under the Licensing Act 2003 must be made to the Licensing Team within Environmental Services within 28 days of an application being publicised by way of a site notice and a public notice in a local newspaper.

Details of applications received, representations made and decisions can be found via
TWBC Licensing

Residents making a valid representation will then be contacted by a member of the Council's committee section regarding the date and time of the Sub-Committee meeting which will hear the application.
