Grot Spot - Ritz Building/Cinema Site
New Hotel / Office and Retail Development (Views, Model)
Presentation (30 minutes) by the Architect of Panter Hudspith (Mark Panter & Sarah Robinson), designers of the replacement building for the Ritz/former ABC Cinema, will be heard at the Town Forum on 25 September 2008. — db23.09.2008
Public consultation will take place on the Friday 12 and Saturday 13 September 2008 at 59-61 Mount Pleasant Road (formerly Jones Shoes).
Planning Consent granted for retail/office/hotel/car park development on the plot of the former ABC Cinema site and shops in Church Road/Mount Pleasant Road (as far as the Oxfam shop).
Demolition to start in January 2009, ready to open early 2011.

Grot Spot - Medway Depot (Grosvenor Bridge - adjacent to Grosvenor Recreation Ground)
Planning Consent granted for multi-storey housing development of 150 flats (8 blocks) on the 1.5 hectare plot, containing the derelict depot, offices and outbuildings.
Demolition to start within a few weeks, building in April 2009, completion in March 2010.
